Teaching the Word, Changing the World
Greetings from HIS School in Cambodia.
We extend deep gratitude to our supporters and partners who pray together for students to grow in the midst of God’s Word. We praise and thank God in advance for how He would transform the next generation through HIS school.
School Construction
• Even during the rainy season, the safety work of windows and corridors and painting jobs are continually in progress. We praise God, our Father, for His amazing grace at work.
• We ask for God's provision to supply all needs to complete works such as electrical wiring, piping, ceilings, landscaping, and wall construction. We ask for prayers together, hoping that it can be completed before the commencement of the middle school next year.
Kindergarten
• We went on an excursion to the zoo. We are thankful for the time when children, who had only encountered various animals through books, could directly experience the animals that God created in nature, and thereby come to know God.
• Kindergarten students who are showing rapid physical growth are becoming more active, and there are moments when they get hurt while playing energetically. Teachers do their best to watch over the children, but accidents can happen in an instant. We seek even more for God's protection. May the children grow up healthy and safe.
• Unlike Korea where the school year concludes in February, here the 22-23 school year ends in September. It was truly a blessed time to witness young children learning the Word and growing in prayer according to the curriculum rooted in Christian education. May the kindergarten students grow as children of the Lord and become seeds of the Gospel in their families.
• After completing the kindergarten program, there are students from low-income backgrounds who aspire to continue their education in elementary school. We pray that you provide sponsors who can respond to the prayers of parents who wish for their children to receive good education in a safe environment and grow through the Word and prayer. Please connect us with supporters who can provide financial assistance.
Elementary School
• With the assistance of teachers from Singapore and the United States, we conducted teacher training and workshops at His School. We are grateful for the establishment of good teachers through this. May the teachers become laborers who guide the students to the Lord through Christian education.
• We are thankful for the opportunity to introduce the school and share the Gospel with parents, relatives, and neighbors who attended the school open house event. We give glory to the Lord as our school is earning a good reputation among the parents as they watch their children growing in a positive school environment.
• Due to the rainy season climate, there is an ongoing outbreak of high fever accompanied by colds and COVID-19. Please protect the health of students and teachers, and help them finish the final semester well in September and prepare for the grade exams.
• As we welcome the new semester, there is a need for additional teachers. Please pray for the recruitment of local teachers who have warm hearts and love for children. May they work well alongside missionary teachers from abroad, fulfilling the role of conveying the Gospel and love in the field of education.
