His School

In Cambodia, which has traditionally been a Buddhist country, because of rapid economic growth, education, which had formerly been limited to the public education system, is changing with a strengthening of education in Buddhist monasteries. Also, due to the rapidly changing political and economic situation, there has been a shift in government policy regarding the running of charitable organisations (the running of orphanages), a transition to the family protection model of the West at the expense of NGOs. Henceforth, the His School Ministry will seek to adapt to the changing environment and develop into an educational facility that will educate future spiritual leaders who will lead Cambodia as His nation.

2015: The construction of His School (first stage, the preschool & primary) was halted in 2016 due to financial problems (47% of construction carried out). We hope that financial circumstances would soon allow for the completion of the construction of His School as an education facility run in accordance with biblical teachings (second stage, construction of Intermediate & High Schools).

2018: Renovation of the Children's centre (Previous Orphanage Building) is open His International School (Kindergarten & Primary School).

Just as the introduction of modern education in the 19th Century in Korea by missionaries became a catalyst for the development of Korea as modern nation, the vision of HISA is to likewise light the path for Cambodia's future development.
