Greetings to you from HIS Cambodia!

We are praying for the safety of you and your family as the spread of Corona doesn’t seem to be decreasing. Despite the difficult circumstances you may all be in, we hope that the peace of Jesus would fill your hearts and strengthen you to persevere through.

The spread of the delta virus in Cambodia is rapidly increasing due to Cambodian citizens returning from neighboring countries as labor workers without a safe quarantine system. Moreover, everyone is in fear of getting infected as the number of confirmed cases is being covered up by underreporting.

The government, conscious of the collapse of the people’s basic livelihood and economic damage, said that Cambodia would welcome tourists soon, its main source of income. And students in ages 12-18 are getting vaccinated as their exam period is coming up and adults are getting booster shots.

Prayer Requests:

1. Mobile Drop in Center

It’s heart-breaking to know that the more marginalized homeless children and children from slum areas are getting accustomed to social neglect. Please keep them in your prayers for their health and safety, and for us to be able to make a visit at least once a month to check on them and deliver food.

2. Children’s Center

- Please pray for the mental and physical safety of the children at the center who have been only staying in the center since March of last year, except for the two weeks when they were able to attend the school.

- We give thanks to God for providing vaccinations to students in the ages of 12-18.

- Please pray for improvement in the situation of no one being allowed to make a visit to the orphanage

3. Esther Group

- Please pray for the two female students (Toot and Tamtam) to prepare well for the 12th grade graduation exam, so that they could go on to a technical school or university.

- Thank you that they were able to grow with your love and support. Please continue to pray for all the students in this group to prepare well for the future and live as the faithful servants of the Lord in society.
