Shalom!

Greetings to you in our Lord, Jesus. As of July, all our local staff serving at the Cambodia HIS International organization have been vaccinated.

We give thanks and praise to the Lord for the safe and smooth procedure.

Despite the strong lockdown in April and May, the number of confirmed cases in Cambodia is breaking new records every day, and all schools have been closed so far. HIS International School is helping students learn from home through Telegram and Study Packages, but it is very unfortunate that teachers and students cannot be together in the classroom. However, we are grateful for the parents who work with the school to guide the students' learning on a daily basis, and for the students who find joy from learning at home. We are praying that students will continue to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God and for the health and safety of the teachers and students until the day when they can all be back at school.

Teachers participated in online seminars where they could learn more about the better use of the computers. We look forward to improving the quality of online education provided to our students.

Due to the rapid increase in the number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the area around the school, the death toll occurred, and the school self quarantined for two weeks in July. There was no direct contact with the deceased, but it was to preemptively follow safety rules.

During self-quarantine, teachers held Zoom meetings to check on students' safety, pray for each teacher's safety, and put into practice what they have learned.

During the quarantine period, the school's old railings got replaced and repaired. It was a dangerous situation where some part of the school building was starting to collapse. During the quarantine period, the construction was carried out with only the workers staying inside the school building and everything got completed well. We are moved again by the grace of the Lord who gave us a helping hand to keep us safe from the rainy season. We would also like to send our gratitude to all of you for being a channel of blessing.

Prayer Requests:

- Please pray for the protection of all students, staff, and families from coronavirus.

- As online classes prolong, we need as many computers as there are teachers to use for classes. Please pray for the provision of all the necessary computers.

- Please pray that although there is a delay with the arrival of native English teachers to Cambodia, the Zoom classes from the US would go smoothly and that we would be able to hire more elementary school teachers.
