March 2021 Newsletter
The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want;
He makes me down to lie
In pastures green; He leaded me
The quiet waters by.
I find myself singing this hymn often with the current prolonged unpredictable difficulties. I pray and send my blessings to you that God would keep you safe and fill you with His joy during this difficult time.
In Cambodia, due to the re-expansion of corona 19 throughout the country since the Lunar New Year holiday last month, a temporary school closure order was issued from March, and all meetings have been suspended again.
Children Center
Children attending public schools have been promoted to higher grades without taking school classes for the past year. Higher grade students are helping lower graders with their studies, and those who cannot attend school continue to study on their own. There is a shortage of relief supplies (medicine, clothing, school supplies, etc.) that have been supplied through visits by short-term mission teams so far, and we are waiting for a helping hand for the food expenses of the orphanage children.
- We are grateful that the children living in a controlled environment are enduring this situation well. I pray that they would get to know the Lord personally and endure this difficult time through family worship inside the center.
- We pray that Bonrok and Sreimum couple who serve at the center would take good care of the children and serve with patience and love.
Mobile Drop in Center
Children from urban slums and homeless children who are seriously exposed to the Corona 19 virus and other various diseases have not been able to meet our volunteers at all since last year. In addition, it is very unfortunate that even rural villages that were accessible until the beginning of this year cannot be visited anymore.
- We pray that our children would have the special protection and mercy of our Heavenly Father, who has compassion for them during this difficult time.
- We ask for the Lord’s guidance and wisdom so that we can prepare well for the post-corona era as to how we can approach children on the streets in desperate need.
Daniel and Esther Home
Technical schools and universities have also been ordered to close for a long time. As a result, schools who have lived in undergraduate schools advance into society early or return to their hometowns to help their relatives, face these difficult times in their own way.
Some of the students who have not yet decided on a career path or need more preparation have moved back to orphanages to live there.
- We pray that the students who have left the universities would be able to work with proper attitudes and live with such a lifestyle that exemplifies Jesus.
