His Child NGO HIS School

1. Although the staff of the Moving Resting Place (bus ministry) cannot meet the children of urban slums and homeless children on the bus, we are still grateful that the workers can use the tuk-tuk to go to underprivileged rural villages where they regularly check on the children and worship in the street. We pray that God would protect all children from seasonal flues, covid19, and other diseases, and that the workers would be able to quickly visit those in need.

2. Children from the orphanage have been attending school and taking classes since last month. It’s good to see the children being so excited to finally leave the orphanage after a long time, but it’s worrisome that in public schools students are taking classes without masks. Despite educating them about the severity of the coronavirus, children aren’t taking it so seriously as this corona situation has been going on for a while now. It’s concerning as there is no test kit nor places to be treated. Please pray for the special protection of the Lord on us.

3. We sincerely pray that God would send us local staff and pastor missionary who could participate in the ministry of evangelism and discipleship training.

HIS School

1. HIS school has resumed the regular school classes with caution. Students are happy to attend the school and are working hard on their studies. We pray that the school would offer quality education in safe environment and nurture students with the Word and worship.

2. It is difficult for kindergarteners to leave their parents for the first time and adjust to a group life outside of home. Please pray for both teachers and the students. Also, we are recruiting teachers and administrative staff at the kindergarten and the primary school. We pray that God would provide us with good teachers and staff to join us.

3. While praying for native-speaking teachers to take charge of international school education, we received a call from two teachers from Rocklin Mission USA. They are allowed to enter Cambodia when their mandatory quarantine is lifted. We pray for a rapid resolution.

HIS Australia

His International Services (Korea) HISA holds a prayer meeting on the first Saturday of every month at 2pm (12pm KST) using the Zoom app. We are grateful that, despite the business, many people are participating in the meetings. Through our prayers, we are hoping to advance God’s kingdom in Cambodia. Here are some prayer requests I would like to share with you:

1. We pray that the directors and staff serving HISA would have the passion of the gospel and fulfill the calling of sending/supporting the missionaries.

2. In anticipation of the evangelization of Cambodia, we pray that all our partners would enjoy the spiritual riches day by day in the grace of the Lord and overcome the corona situation well.

3. We continue to pray that God would move people’s hearts to bring 1,000 members to join us, who would donate $10 per month, which would be used to send short and long-term professional missionaries to Cambodia.

His International Services (Korea)

The office of the Korea His International Volunteer Corps has moved from the JVM building in Seoul to the 5th floor of Hyundai building, 65-5 Jeongja-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. We look forward to the expansion of the Cambodia mission through mutual cooperation between the Korea OM International Mission and the HIS Internationl Volunteer Corps.

In addition, we deeply appreciate the dedication and service of JVM for serving as a channel of grace for free office use over the past 7 years. The HIS International Volunteer Corps General Assembly was held on January 14th (through Zoom app).

In this meeting, there was a ministry/financial report for the year 2020, and the agenda for the revision of the articles of incorporation for the relocation of the office and the appointment of Pastor Eun-Tae Cho (representative secretary of the Korea AM International Mission) as an honorary director of the HIS International Volunteer Corps was proposed and passed.

Secretary Soo-mi, who has worked hard for the past two years, retired due to personal reasons, and Soo-jin has been working since January as the new secretary.

We ask for your prayers for Missionaries Mi-Hyun Kim, who will be working with Cambodian local workers, and for Missionaries Lucille, Eunhee Yang, and Jeongyoung Kim, who will be joining in Cambodia soon after completing the mandatory quarantine process.
