Shalom!
Praise God who has overcome Satan and resurrected from death! Even in the midst of the unexpected Corona-19 attacking the whole world I pray that you would be reminded of God’s faithfulness and goodness and hold fast to His words during this time of various difficulties and uncertainties in life.
Since mid-March, HIS International School has been closed in accordance with the closing order of the Ministry of Education of Cambodia. Teachers are therefore providing school lessons along with safety and hygiene education through the phone and the internet. Teachers have also been asked to stay home so they are meeting online at a set time every day for prayers, to share the situation and keep track of the students. We are praying for God’s protection and guidance for all the students and the teachers until they meet again at the school.
Te Eun and Sophiup are working together for the safety and the management of the school building while it is closed. Please pray for God’s protection over the school and the staff.
Prayer requests:
1. Please pray for the safety of the students and their families and for the teachers to have wisdom and patience as they are teaching online.
2. Please pray for God’s wisdom and strength to deal with various situations that could occur if the school were to be closed for much longer.
3. Please pray for God’s protection and wisdom for Vania, the education consultant, who is working to build school curriculum that meets the standard of International Schools.
4. Cambodia is in poor condition without a Corona-19 test kit and medical treatment facilities. Please pray for God’s protection and mercy upon the nation.
5. One of the great holidays of Cambodia is in April (New Year’s Day), where everyone visits their hometown and greets their family and relatives. To prevent such mass movement, which could lead to uncontrollable spread of Corona-19, the government has postponed the holiday. Please pray that people would cooperate in practicing social distance to fight against the virus affecting the whole nation.
