March 2024 Newsletter

1.Takhmao Doulos Church

• There are members of the church who desire to join the worship on Sunday, but have to work seven days a week to make ends meet. Please pray for faith that overcomes realities, for worshiping God to become the first priority in life thus making Him known to those around them in their daily lives.

• Many of the children who attend our Sunday school service come to church by bicycle or on foot. Please pray that God would protect them from reckless drivers on the streets, and that they would grow as children of God through prayer, worship, and learning the Word of God.

• In the absence of a dedicated church minister, leaders are working together to lead worship. Please pray for missionaries and local pastors who could serve the church in preparation of worship, evangelism, and discipleship.

• We are thankful for Pastors Casey, Chay, Meng, and Ponlok, pastors from other churches who have generously given up their time to preach at our services. To God be the glory!

2. KambongTrea Doulos Church

• We are thankful that the long-neglected worship center has been repaired and adults and youth can now worship in the small worship center and children can worship and study in the large worship center. We are especially thankful that the restrooms have been renovated and are safe to use.

• We pray that both children and adults in our Sunday school service would continue to grow in faith and that they would come to know the love of God the Father through worship.

• Twice a year, medical teams come from Singapore to serve and share the gospel. Please pray that through their medical service the church members and their neighbors would receive spiritual and physical healing and experience the love of the Lord. We also pray for the gospel to be preached in many more villages in and around Kampong Threat through medical service.

• After accepting the Lord in Tulsunpi village 20 years ago and graduating from Bible school, Pu Lao had lived a dedicated life as an evangelist, visiting villages on his bicycle. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer last November and has passed away recently. Please pray for the Lord's comfort and peace to be with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

3. Village out reach

• Together with five missionaries from the Doulos Hope Mission Challenge Team of OM International, we visited rural areas to evangelize. We hope that our ministry would become the seed of the gospel in this area and bear fruits.

• Allow the people who work in cottage industries or farming throughout the countryside the heart and circumstances to attend Bible studies, that they would come to a deeper understanding of the love of the Lord that is shown in the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus.

• The villages that don’t have churches, the day we visit them becomes “Sunday”, where we worship and teach the Word to the children under the tree. Please pray that God would strengthen the ministers who ride tuk-tuk every week to visit them, and that they would be filled with the joy of God.

• At the Ambelberi village primary school, where we visit every Wednesday to worship, we worked with the Australian medical team to provide medical services to all the students and residents. May the service and prayers of the medical team not be in vain, but may they become strong believers and experience God’s blessings abundantly.

• Every Saturday afternoon, the neighborhood kids who eagerly participate in the kids club are learning more about the love of Jesus through the club's various programs. We are grateful for Shopiup’s zeal in serving them, and we ask for your prayers for missionary Chun-Hwa Kim that God would help her and provide her with wisdom as she’s learning the language.
