Greetings from Cambodia! Happy New Year!
Dear beloved partners,
We pray that you would experience God’s grace and his abundant blessings as you put your hopes in the Lord in this new year of 2023. We praise God and want to share our sincere gratitude to you for your willingness to join in with our service in Cambodia through prayers and generous giving. We are excited to see how God would continue to move and work in Cambodia through various ministries of relief, evangelism, and education this year.
We believe that, as the Health International Volunteer Corps puts it, “All children created in the image of God are precious and valuable regardless of origin, religion, gender, or disability, and they are precious workers who can change society and expand the kingdom of the Lord,” and will continue to strive for sharing the love of Christ to the children in Cambodia.
HIS CHILD (Ministry of Children in Crisis)
Bus Ministry
We are thankful for the friendship we were able to build with the homeless and slum children. Help us prepare for a better future for them without losing hope in the Lord.
Orphanage Ministry
May the children who have newly joined the orphan age adapt well to community life, grow up healthy in both body and spirit, learn God’s love and live with gratitude and joy as His children.
Group Home Ministry
Please pray that students who have passed the high school graduation exam will be well-prepared as members of society after entering college or completing the technical school course, so that they can lead a safe independent life and live as little disciples of Jesus in the world.
HIS CHURCH (Church ministry, Discipleship, Church Planting)
Doulos Church
Please pray for our church members that although they are exhausted from the weight of their daily lives, they would make every effort only to the Lord, who is their hope, cherish Sunday worship service, and proclaim the God of love to their neighbours. Also, please pray that the ones that are preparing to be baptized would have personal encounter with Jesus.
Village Evangelism
As we are now able to visit the three villages that had been inaccessible for three years due to Covid, please pray that we would be able to make regular visits every week to hold children’s Sunday worship services and to safely carry out evangelism and worship for adults and teenagers. - Please also pray that the local evangelists would grow in the character of God and walk faithfully to the calling of sharing the gospel to the villagers.
HIS SCHOOL (Christian Education)
Elementary School
Please pray that the elementary school students would not only grow academically but also in their character and in their knowledge of God. - Also, please pray that the school could develop a variety of seminars and programs for teachers for their professional development.
Kindergarten
May kindergarteners who have grown well through early Christian education become seeds of the gospel in their families so that parents could also enjoy the great blessing of knowing Jesus the Savior.
School Construction
We praise God for his faithfulness for he sent us helping hands to do the tile work in the building construction. Please pray for our faith to stay strong in the Lord who will supply all our needs until completion.
