Greetings from HIS International School, Cambodia!
When the school construction stopped, everything seemed to be impossible. However, it’s evident to us that God is still in control and is working faithfully with HIS International School when we hear the sounds of the school construction, classes being taught, conversations of the students, and lunches being made in the kitchen. All these different sounds we hear everyday seem to testify the living God who has been and still is the Way, the Life and the Truth.
Primary School:
1. Over the past three months, the school curriculum has been gradually set in place. Please pray for the improvement in students' learning attitude and grades, and for them to grow in their knowledge of Jesus and in faith through the devotion time they have with their teachers every morning.
2. Please continue to pray for the recruitment of local teachers. Pray for teachers who share the same vision as the school, that would love the students and teach with joy.
3. Missionaries Julian and Katie from the States are teaching English classes to students. Please pray for their safety as they commute to work by moto taxi, for them to work well with the school, and for the students' English to improve as well.
4. There is Easter holiday in April. Teachers and students will be spending the holiday with their families. Please pray for their safety and protection against coronavirus.
5. Last February, the school received a National/International School Permit from the Cambodia Ministry of Education. Please pray that HIS School would gain positive recognition from God and the world.
Kindergarten:
1. We thank God for continuously sending new students. Please pray for kindergarten children to know Jesus from an early age and grow in the love and wisdom of Jesus.
2. Please pray for the recruitment of kindergarten teachers. Pray for dedicated teachers who could teach with a loving heart.
3. Teacher Niet is taking a maternity leave for three months from April. Please pray for the health of the mother and the baby.
School Construction:
Please pray together with us for the construction of the HIS International School to be completed.
The construction work, which had been suspended for about 5 years, started again in January of this year by the grace of the Lord. We have decided on partial construction within the financial limits, and are working on a three-story concrete, roof, septic tank, drain, and gate. Trusting in Jehovah Jireh, who will continue to provide for all our needs, we hope and pray that the kindergarten and elementary school buildings could be completed soon.
