January 2022 Newsletter
Although our circumstances are difficult in many ways, I hope that 2022 will be a year full of hope and peace for you as God promises His children. We ask for your prayers for the missionaries serving at HIS in Cambodia and for various administrations.
We thank God for the faithfulness of hearing and answering our prayers to send more staff members to join our team. It’s our desire that we would continue to be faithful in our calling to serve this nation in advancing God’s kingdom here.
Missionary Kathie
Missionary Kathie, who arrived from the United States, was infected with Omicron on an airplane and was transferred to the quarantine area immediately after arriving at Phnom Penh Airport. I pray that Katie, who is spending her first days in Cambodia in a quarantined place with poor treatment facilities, endures well with the peace and strength of the Lord and comes to know the grace of God who takes care of her during this difficult time
Missionary Lucille
Missionary Lucille, who could not even attend the funeral of her eldest son and relatives due to Corona as there were no flights available then, is finally able to return to her home country for a while. Please pray for her safety and that she would be able to have a time of comfort with her family.
Missionary Yang, Eun Hee
Missionary Eunhee Yang's father is undergoing chemotherapy for late stage stomach and lung cancer. There is no major improvement due to his old age, but we are thankful to God for keeping the family strong and at peace in the Lord. Please pray that God would pour out the same peace onto missionary Eun-hee Yang, who cannot be with her family, and for the help of the Holy Spirit to provide comfort and strength to the parents during prayer.
Missionary Kim, Mi Hyun
Please pray for missionary Mihyun Kim who is taking a short break in Korea, that she may have a good time with her parents, and be able to share the work God is doing in Cambodia with her supporters and supporting churches. Also, please pray that she would have a refreshing and recovery time in Korea spiritually, mentally and physically
Missionary Jullianne
Missionary Jullianne, who came to Cambodia on November 6th, 2021 after deciding to serve as an Englsih teacher at HIS International School for a year, is having a hard time due to the hot weather. Please pray that she would become a channel of the gospel and love when teaching students, and that God would keep her health strong
Missionary Kim, Jungyoung
Missionary Jungyoung Kim is thankful that God has strengthened her to accept and bear the pain of her fragile body. She prays that she would continue to put her hope in the Lord and live an obedient life to fulfill her calling in Cambodia.

Please continue to pray so that long-term and short-term volunteers, native-speaking English teachers, pastors, and missionaries who specialize in architecture, administration, and teachers could join our team.
NGO, HIS Child
We must re-apply for the NGO to the Cambodian government every three years. Please pray that the process of preparing all documents to be submitted to the Cambodian Ministry of Social Welfare, the Ministry of Child Welfare, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the MOU process goes smoothly.
HIS Church
Tahmao Doulos Church and Kampong Trier Doulos Church licenses must also be re-registered every two years. I pray that the church leaders who prepare all the documents required by the Ministry of Religion will be able to handle this task wisely.
HIS School
The school has completed all the necessary paperwork for registration with the Ministry of Education. Please pray for a safe environment of the school and that the meeting with the government would go successfully.
