April 2025 Newsletter
In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps. (Proverbs 16:9) Teacher : Sopha,Thary, Mao, Channa Elementary School Head Teacher : Thida Middle school Head Teacher : Sobannarath We make plans and do our best, but sometimes unexpected things happen and we feel lost, as if the road is blocked. However, God knows all our paths and guides us in the best direction.
In times of hardship, let us not be discouraged but trust in God, entrust everything to Him, and fix our eyes on the Almighty who directs our steps. Even if we don't understand now, we firmly believe that in time, God's will shall be made clear.
Kindergarten
1.The kindergarten is currently recruiting 25 children aged 4 and 20 children aged 5. We are praying that through this additional recruitment, the new children and those currently attending will come to know the character of Jesus through Christian early childhood education and grow as children of the Lord.
2. We kindly ask for your prayers that the teachers, who serve with love, may be united daily in the Word and prayer, so that seeds of the Gospel may be sown in each child’s home.
Elementary School
1.We are praying for Thida, the head teacher at the elementary school, who is currently on a three-month maternity leave. Please join us in praying that both the baby and the mother will recover well after a healthy delivery, and that she may return to school smoothly and safely. We also hope and pray that her family, blessed with this new life, may continue to grow in thanksgiving and joy as they draw closer to the Lord.
2.We are thankful that Sobannarath, the head teacher preparing for the reopening of the middle school, is faithfully covering the responsibilities during Thida’s absence. Please pray that amidst the busyness and many changes, Svanarat will respond with flexibility and wisdom, be further trained through this season, and be well prepared to lead the middle school responsibilities ahead.
School construction site
We earnestly hope that the new academic year (2025–2026) will begin in the Lord’s school building. Currently, the temporary campus lacks a designated space for middle school, and as a result, last year's elementary graduates had no choice but to transfer to other middle schools. This has brought deep regret and sorrow to both the students and their parents.
We are prayerfully seeking God’s guidance, hoping that such heartache will not be repeated, and that the construction of the school building will be completed swiftly.
The construction of the new campus is nearing completion on the exterior, while work on the interior facilities—such as electricity, plumbing, and drainage—is currently underway. It is truly a miracle that the construction has continued, little by little, without being halted. Though we have aimed each year to open the new middle school in September, it has not been an easy journey. This year as well, the completion of the school building is urgently needed to meet that goal. We are deeply thankful for God’s grace that has carried us thus far, and we ask for your continued prayers that the necessary funding and all preparations will proceed smoothly. Above all, we lift up our praise to Ebenezer, our faithful God, who has helped us to this point.
As we journey through the 2024–2025 academic year, His International School continues to witness God’s divine intervention in many ways. Even in moments of confusion caused by unexpected challenges, we have continually experienced the grace of our righteous Father. Some students left due to tuition increases but have returned again, reminding us that they are precious souls sent by God.
As we enter the remaining part of the school year, we earnestly desire and pray that our school will glorify the name of the Lord, be filled with His wisdom and power, and ultimately reflect only Jesus in all we do.
