Last August, the Cambodian government held a ceremony to commemorate the construction of the Funan Canal(a canal connecting Cambodia and Thailand with great economic growth expection). However, due to this, the village of Kampong Trea is in danger of being submerged, and many residents must move to rural areas in other regions. In addition, Doulos Church, located in the Kampong Trea area, is in a situation where it must return more than half of its building area to the state. It is devastating to hear that more than half of the church buildings in Kampong Trea including Doulos Church are disappearing, where it supported the spiritual growth of residents in the surrounding villages.

We are trying to think of it relying on the Lord, “A building is just a building!” However, the reality that the church is disappearing and that many people must move to rural areas in other regions is very difficult to accept.

Nevertheless, through all these, we pray that God will demonstrate His perfection and guide Kampong Trea Doulos Church with His goodness and mercy.

Kampong Trea Doulos Church

The church members are in a situation where they need to leave their hometowns and lands where they have lived their entire lives and prepare for forced migration to unfamiliar rural areas.

Their discouragement and fear are unimaginable.

However, we pray that they will boldly move forward with the belief that they will surely live a victorious life when relying on the Lord who always accompanies His children.

1. Please pray with us so that the church members of Kampong Trea Doulos Church can boldly live their lives relying on the Word of God.

2. Please pray that God’s goodness and mercy will be poured out as grace upon the church members in every step.

3. Please pray that this can be a time to greatly experience the Father’s love that is poured out at every step by relying on God.

Takhmao Douos Church

The local missionary who, for a long time, we have been praying for has finally been decided.

Pastor Pov Morn, who has been working with us as a part-time accountant at HIS, will join TakhmaoDoulos Church starting in January next year.

We give thanks and praise to God for His great grace that answered our prayers with patience so that a full-time church missionary who had been absent since COVID-19 could be established.

1. Please pray that the full-time pastor of the established church(Pastor Pov Morn) and missionary Chun-hwa Kim will unite and advance into a church that worships, educates, and evangelizes.

2. Please pray that Takhmao Doulos Church will become a church that only reveals God’s name.

Kids Club

We are grateful that the children who come here are showing interest in Bible stories and are exposed to the gospel.

1. Please pray that God will pour grace on missionary Chun-hwa Kim, who prepares various programs and serves this time, and pour the oil of language so that she can convey the message well in Cambodian.

2. Please pray that God will grant Sopeaup, who spreads the Word to parents who are waiting for their children at this time, boldness and the ability to powerfully spread the gospel.

Village Outreach

This ministry regularly visits villages without a church every week and spreads the gospel. We are praying for the safety of Vanlak and Sony who have to commute even during the rainy season.

1. Please pray that God will keep His children safe as they commute on the difficult road.

2. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will help us more as we lead the worship service relying on the shade of trees in a situation where there is no building or eaves.

3. Please pray that the young souls who worship here together may grow as children of God in His love.
