September 2019 Newsletter
Greetings from Doulos Church.
We thank and give glory to God for giving us the time to worship together with the short-term mission team during the last three months, It has been a refreshing and a recharging time for our church and an exciting and joyful worship services for our Sunday school children. Thank you once again for all your prayers and support. Here are some prayer points for this month.
From Kampongtria Church:
1. Lukur Lao who ministers at the church is going through hard times due to his sickness with diabetes. Please pray for God’s strength for him as he’s busy with various church programs.
2. Om Suon’s family has not been attending church lately. Please pray for the family and other non-believing neighbours to come back to faith.
3. Due to the busy season of farming many members have not been attending church services. Please pray for wisdom as they prioritize their various duties.
4. The church needs to get some renovation done as things are getting old and broken. Please pray for financial provision and good workers to work with.
5. Please pray that Paekedai and Lukur Lao would work together with the church community towards church revival.
From Takhmao Dulos Church:
1. Pastor Sharon and Chumran who have been working with us for a long time have resigned. Pastor Sharon has been assigned to a new ministry and the assistant pastor, Chumran, is now working at a kindergarten where there is not a single believer. May God be with them as they take on with their new roles.
2. We are praying for new workers to come. Please pray for the people with heart for Cambodia to join us!
3. The church committee, that was established for the self-reliance of the church, is helping the church run well. Please pray for God’s wisdom and love that they would reflect God’s heart when working with the congregation.
4. In mid-September, the country’s biggest holiday, Pchumbun (Choo-suk) will begin. Please pray that even though some of our members may experience hardships due to oppositions from their non-believing family members they would stand strong in their faith.
5. Assistant pastor Paekedai is working diligently at Preho community center and at Kampongtria church but her health hasn’t been very well lately. Please pray for her health and wisdom as she takes care of it.
