Summary of the General Assembly of HIS International Services 2019
The HIS International Services held a regular general assembly and a board meeting on May 23rd. At this meeting, the project report for the year 2018, the announcement of the business plan for the year 2019, the settlement of the 2018 and the budget for the year 2019 were decided.
Rev. Park Eunjo, who was serving as the head director, resigned from his position for personal issues, but decided to continue serving as one of the directors of HIS.
Rev. Cho Hyun Sam, was recommended as the new representative director, and was elected as the representative director by the unanimous consent of the board of directors and regular members.
In addition, to cooperate and partner with HIS International Services’ works at Cambodia, Rev. SeungJun Paek from Love Global Friends, Rev. JaeChun Wang from DongTan Haneulbit Woori Church, and elder HakJung Seong from SaeSoon Church in Melbourne, Australia have been nominated and elected as honorary directors.
Rev. Cho Hyun Sam of the Seoul Gwangyom Church, who will be serving as the new head director, said, "I will do my best as a leading member of the HIS International Services to support the ministries of HIS International Services in Cambodia,” during his election speech.
Prayer requests from HIS missionaries
1. Lucille Gasper will be returning to her home country in mid-July to undergo knee surgery. Please pray that God would be with the surgery and give her rapid recovery so that she could be back at the ministry within this year.
2. Eun-hee Yang began her theological studies in April this year after 10 years of her service with HIS. May God pour out his wisdom in her studies, that she may have a good rest, and be prepared to be a greater worker for His Kingdom.
3. Kwon Hyuk Hong has joined the training of OM International Mission in Korea in order to prepare for the long term service after completing 2 years of his service with HIS. Please pray that it would be a time where a good partnership can be formed between the missions organization and his sending church.
4. Mi Hyun Kim has returned home and is taking a temporary break from 3 years of her ministry and language studies for health issues. Please pray for her recovery.
5. Jung Young Kim is in Korea to get medical treatments for physical pain that has been neglected for a long time and is focusing on domestic HIS ministry in the meantime. Please pray for her physical healing and restoration and as well as her spiritual refreshment.
News from HIS International Services Australia
The 2nd general assembly of HIS International Services, Australia will be held on July 13 in Melbourne, Australia. In addition, the 9th board of directors meeting will be held on July 5th.
There are currently five members who serve HISA.
