June 2019 Newsletter
Shalom~ Hello from Cambodia His School.
Due to the serious drought in the past 2 months, there were often times when there was no water or electricity in His School and students were exhausted as a result. It was hard to see, however is was an opportunity for the students to learn about how precious water and electricity is and also about God’s power in overseeing the nature. Please pray for our students that through these challenges they learn more about God and rely more on God. And I pray for you all that through God’s wisdom and power, challenges in life are turned into opportunities.
School story
March: 1st Family Athletic Carnival
As a mission school, His School continues to work towards spreading the good news of gospel to the students and their family who don’t know Jesus. In March, we held our first Family Athletic Carnival to share time with the families. At the time, there was a mission team from an international high school and American Missionary, who joined us in the Carnival. We were thankful that students, families and teachers were united in enjoying the event.
April: Easter and Khmer New Year
In Cambodia, New Year is in April. Easter Sunday was after the New Year holidays and at the school we celebrated both New Year events and Easter service. We had an opportunity to pray in the name of Jesus and not in the name of an idol.
May: World Children’s Day
On World Children’s Day, we delivered the message of how Jesus loves children. We hope that the children love more in Jesus’s love. Also we had a cooking class using morning glory that was sowed and harvested early in May with noodles. We also made cakes and had a fun time.
